• The St George, in Walter Road, has recently re-opened, and is once again offering two or three cask ales.
• Bar Reef, a little further along Walter Road and perhaps better remembered as the White Rose, is also advertising a cask ale - Adnam's Broadside was on offer on a recent visit.
• It is disappointing to report that the New Inn, Clydach, has closed. The pub has an entry in the GBG2011, and news of its closure has been passed across to HQ.

Pubs of the Year 2010 and 2011

Congratulations to the Railway (Upper Killay), which has been voted the Swansea Branch's Pub of the Year for 2011, narrowly edging out the King Arthur Hotel (Reynoldston). The Railway succeeds the Potters Wheel, which was the Branch's 2010 Pub of the Year for Swansea.

The Ancient Briton, Penycae, Swansea, is the Neath sub-branch POTY for 2010; news on their choice for 2011 will appear here.
